Melville, NY Vanity Fair Phonographs were produced in the early 50's such as the 1953 Vanity Fair's Model No. 500 acoustic phonograph. Vanity Fair phonographs were made by the Vanity Fair company under different names at different time periods. "VF Electronics Corp. produced record players 1960 and before, whereas VF Industries produced novelty record players and radios in the late 1970's to 1980's. Vanity Fair Industries, Inc is also listed as a Division of Walter Kidde and "Vanity Fair by Ertl" consumer electronic products. (Ertl is an American toy company based in Dyersville, Iowa founded in 1945 by Fred Ertl Sr., in Dubuque, Iowa).
