By Doug Boilesen, 2022

Two Scooby Doo children's phonograph, the VF-774, and the VF-778, were made by Vanity Fair in 1976. Both were transistorized, battery operated, and played 33 1/3 RPM and 45 RPM 7" records. They differed in their outside case: a colored lithograph and a plastic figure of Scooby Doo. A third phonograph was made by Cannon Tone, the two-speed "Scooby-Doo Song and Dance" which featured figures of Scooby and his pals who would "swing and sway" as they danced to the music.

Kenner Products made a Talking Show Projector in 1971 which used a slide with seven color transparencies and a 45 RPM record for the story. One of those Kenner Talking Shows featured Scooby Doo.

Other 'recorded sound" connections with Scooby Doo are also included such as Scooby-Doo records, record and cassette tape Read to Me Books, VHS tape, book and cartridge Story Reader System, talking Christmas ornaments, and Blu-Ray DVD.
